Jolly Blue Giants

Riggs with his aerodynamic ears, "thrusters on". He thinks this makes him fast as Palmer... but Palmer's 17 pounds are way more agile than he will ever be... but shhhh... we don't tell them that.

Well... the boys went for their three month checkup and have burst up to 42 (Izzak) and 44 (Riggs) lbs... that is nearly a 20 pound gain for each of them in ONE month. They are doing so well and are such happy boys. Palmer has been just great with them and now looks forward to getting them up with me in the mornings... although after about two hours he does give me a look like, "geeeezz, Mom, will you put them to bed already??" Palmer can not hide the way he is feeling- it is in his eyes and body language. He is only willing to put up with so many "bump into's", and "tail slaps" until he has had enough and the excitement is over... but when it is time to get them from their naps, he is ready to go with me again and his tail is a waggin'. :) Sweet brotherly love they have.
Here are some new pics I got yesterday.
Riggs in a stance wondering what I am doing. He is a solid slab of muscle and the most lovey dovey male on the planet. He just wants to love and be loved.... and maybe a treat every now and then, too.
This was a Palmer-and-Izzak-stand-off over that tiny Dingo bone. Izzak wants EVERYTHING that anyone else has. When he gets these tiny bones of Palmer's he just chews them like bubble gum.
Riggs' long floppy ears. Oh- I love their long ears!
This is not a wide angle lens, people... he really is that large.
Riggs waking from an afternoon nap. His light eyes are here to stay! Yay! The cuts on his arms are from his scuffling with his brother, makes me so nervous when they get rough and I am not strong enough to break them up! We have told them over and over again that only love is allowed, not fighting. :)
Izzak in a down right comfort sleeping position.
Sweet Izzak and his tiny teeth. I absolutely LOVE puppy teeth. I will try to get a better picture of theirs because they are just so funny. There is so much space between the top ones it's a wonder if they really serve the purpose or not.
Palmer had gone into the bedroom for a couple minutes and came back. I think he was seeing if they were still there... and they were. He turned around, went right back to the bedroom, got on his bed and let out a long big sigh.
We are so happy they all play now. I would have gotten lower to get these shots but if I get down on the ground at their level, I get two very large dogs either licking my face or crawling into my lap. And my camera would NOT have appreciated that.

This picture is primarily for my brother, Adam, (a.k.a. Bubbi). This is the Snuggie he bought me, which btw, EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE ONE!, and Palmer was looking cold so I shared it with him. He didn't mind one bit! Ah... the life of a dog. Isn't it grand???

I hope everyone is enjoying this rainy weekend.

Love to all, M
