Soon-to-Be Miniture Home Sweet Home

We've been so busy lately so I've not been able to upload the bookoo of pictures I've taken lately.
First newest post:
Look at our little house on the prairie! Ken and I are so antsy to be at our land we went to Lowe's and bought one of their largest storage buildings and decided to have it built by one of the ponds, named "Palmer's Pond", (which is Palmer's favorite place to swim). What a fun project... as if we needed another, but hey- it's still so much fun. Lowe's actually came out to the land and delivered all the materials and built it on site. Now, we are working on finishing it out. It should be a great little place for us to be in until our actual home is done being built. One of the best parts about this little home is that it will be ran on natural energy. Ken's been wanting to experiment with solar and wind energy and we are going to try some of that out... should be quite interesting. Luckily, we will always have our home we have now so if I need a break from what will be the smallest space I've ever lived in, (a whopping 640 sq ft), I can always head there for some breathing room. We will make so many memories there in our little house on our prairie by the pond. Check it out!
Ken had our wonderful shop experts design and build us an iron skid for it to be built on top of. When we build our big lake we can move this cabin onto an island we make out on the lake. We will have a long pier out to it. It will be a great place!

Growing...

The inside while still being built. There are two stories so the bedroom "suite" will be upstairs.

Here is the front of it more completed. It has not been painted yet but will be sometime. The pond is in the back.

There will be a screened in back porch and also a porch on the front. We can't wait! If I wasn't a country girl before, I AM NOW!

Horse apples from the tree by the cabin. You would not want to get hit in the head by one of these... all persons visiting are assuming all risks and we are not responsible for falling horse apple accidents. :)

We hope all is well with everyone. Drop us a comment!

Lots of love,
Mandy
