Smile So Bright

Wow- look at this beautiful smile! She can light up any room! This is Addison, our friends' Stephen and Kristy's little bundle of bliss. We did some shots with them for some art for their walls and these are some of my favorites. Enjoy!

Kristy asked to stand by when she got out this pig... oohh-- was Addison so excited!

Oh what a joy it is to be around a loving family.

Piggies...piggies...piggies... itty bitty tiny piggies.

Her Daddy would do just about anything for this little girl. She has a personality that just "sucks" you in and makes you want to surrender to her beckon call. We had the pleasure of watching her for a couple hours one evening and she is just precious.... and impossible to resist giving her whatever she may want!

The longest beautiful lashes I've seen on a little sweetie. Look out Dad!! You're in trouble in the upcoming years with those sweet little boys out there now grow up.

One of my absolute favs from the day... just a warm and fuzzy moment.

Love to all,
Mandy :)

Little Cowgirl

This is one of my favorites from the day.

Look at this sweet girl! Meet Jolea who is now two! You might have seen a past post about her and her twin brother's circus birthday bash. We did some "two year old" shots of her last week and when we began taking pictures she was so shy and quiet, but about an hour later she was giving me a big ol' wet kiss and laughing so much! Oh, she has a little voice to die for! She is so fun and has loads of personality inside that tiny body. Her friend from Mother's Day Out is Lucy and they were the only girls in their class so when Jolea got her new doll, momma asked her what her name should be and she said, "Lucy"... so precious. You'll see Lucy below being walked in her stroller. I hope everyone is have a super week!

Meet Lucy. I visited them last night and Jolea was going to bed. Jennifer handed her Lucy who was "burrito" wrapped in a blanket, like a newborn, ready for bed. Too cute!

"I know that is in here somewhere..."

During the shoot Jennifer, Jolea's mom, said, "I never would have thought I would have kids that look nothing like me." They both favor their father so much- except Maverick, Jolea's twin brother, does have Jennifer's solid chocolate brown eyes!

Little country girl! Pink boots in the car seat... love it.
Moo cows?
Lots of love, M

Home sweet home, at last...

After five LONG months, from signing the contract to closing, it is finally OURS!!! The pad for the slab is being built Monday and then the slab should be next and so on. We have an official address, too! Between all the house stuff, the new dog-sons, businesses, family and friends, we are quite busy. AND LOVING IT! :)

Let the construction begin!! (...and it has!)

On the way to our land on Saturday morning I drove past a farm and saw this. I slammed on my brakes, backed up and parked in the grass. It made me curious why they all wanted to be in the same tree when the land was full of trees... they each could have had their own. I guess their brains are pretty tiny so maybe that is why. :)
Ken was not at the land when I got there. He was getting diesel for the tractor and such so I drove down our country road and found some beautiful sights. It was a glorious morning... there aren't words to express how at peace being there makes us feel. It is surly "home".

The sun was peeking through the trees and hit this clay this way. It was such a neat pattern.

A very green fence post.

This fence is not going anywhere. I think it is safe to say that, do you?

Meet Wall E! We bought him to help with the building of the roads and such. Ken was in there and smiling ear-to-ear! It is a really fun machine and a great tool! (Wall E even has a little horn that toots cute!) Ken taught me how to run it on Sunday and was brave enough to stand in the bucket and let me drive him around and up and down to trim tall trees! What a courageous husband I have! Towards the back of that picture we hired a family friend to run the Red Goose big tractor and dirt digging/dumping thingies, and yes that is the technical name for those. :)
Check back soon, I have some photography session photos to blog about.
Oh- here are some new pics of the boys... their first ride in the back of daddy's truck! We just drove next door to Granna's but it was still fun!

Riggs
It made me a little nervous so I sat in the back seat and had the back window open to keep an eye on them and Riggs kept trying to come inside. Look at those mammoth feet.

They are all just tall enough to see over the side...

Riggs in a funny deep sleep.

Red, Kim and Danny's bloodhound, is not so sure but calm. When the little guys get there he is the official food guard. He doesn't leave his post until they are gone.
Lots of love,
M

The Maxfield Family

I had the ultimate pleasure in doing a maternity shoot with Ken's cousin Sarah and her hubby David. What a blast we had! Check out some of my favorites I've posted below. Baby Ella Kate will be here before they know it and what a grand life they will have as a loving family.

I can't wait for these moments in Ken and my life together! Love to all!
