Family Love

I had the privilege of shooting a loving beautiful family this weekend out at our land. (They are our sweet friends, too!) Little Alli is absolutely positively irresistible and I could listen to her tiny voice all day long. Take a peek and see if you could resist those chocolate drop eyes... and those little boots, oh my!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Little P and his wood chips

Palmer & His Woodchips, originally uploaded by .lifecaptured..

Palmer had a great fun time with us this weekend out at the new house playing in the water and... evidentally wood chips from the electricians' drilling. I'm not sure if Ken and I have laughed that hard in a long while. Palmer is our special little one. :)

Lots of love,

God's Wonder

There are lots of dark storm clouds rolling through and God turned on his magic through them. Beautiful sight... had to capture, had to share.

Lots of love,
Mandy

Land Times

Lovin' this weather and the beautiful color changes...

A view of the driveway... it is a forest of leaves now.

My sis and her family, (and my mom!), came in town this weekend and what a hoot they all were. It is always great to have them here. I love them all so much, and they all make me proud!
One of those proud moments... laughter makes my heart warm... and these girls can sure make me laugh! Ainsley, back, Marin front.

Uncle Ken and Marin, the Queen. She "drove" the whole day!

My sis, bro-in-law, David, and Ainsley. David and Ainsley were riding REALLY fast in short spurts and my sis told him, "you know what you are teaching her!!"... she and I had just talked about promoting Ainsley to like the fast-driving type. Ainsley was eating up all the fast speeds with her dad and smiling ear to ear. My sis was cringing.

My mom and me. We drove Vanna super slow. We refer to our four wheeling trails like ski slopes, green, blue, blacks... she and I never left the bunny slopes. She walked a handful of the way over logs and such, and at one point walked on water... crossing a creek via floating logs. She is not a huge thrill seeker when it comes to potential dangers. She did great, though! It was great catch-up time for us to putt around and chit-chat. My sis in the background, loving life.

Marin and David roasting dinner, turkey dogs, YUM!

These are our horse guests. They come and go as they please, but we have no idea where they are coming from or going back to. They piddle a couple days at a time and then disappear again. It is a bunch of mommies and babies. They always look pretty on the land.

The cabin... still being worked on. We may be in our real house before the cabin is completed. We have not been able to work on it much. Grandad has been working hard and has completed all the electrical and even put in most of the insulation! Thanks so much, Grandad, for all your hard work!! We love you!

Our guest home is coming along! The roof was completed in three days- copper accents and all!

Air conditioning, windows and nearly all the electrical is in. This is so exciting!

We hope everyone is having a wonderful week and staying warm!

Lots of love,

M

Tiny Feet to Heal

Palmer and Riggs got into a scuffle last night. Riggs, (80lbs, 5 months old), did NOT want Palmer to walk by his toy. (we are working on his territorial issues) We are not sure exactly what caused the injuries because I didn't see Riggs bite him, but Palmer's little fingers got caught on something and tore. On his left little hand-paw his middle digit was totally pulled out of socket and required to be removed all the way to the bone. On his right hand-paw he had to have his little thumb nail removed. They may have given him his pink camo bandages because he's small. Everyone always assumes he is a girl because he is small... or maybe they were out of green camo but really wanted him to have it since hunting season just began. :)
He is home now and just took his first dose of pain meds and is out like a light on his tiny bed. Three days with his bandages and then we should be able to remove them. Poor little guy. I was terribly worried about him and his little surgery today but he is doing great. Little guy with a big spirit.
Love to all,
M

Palmer's Costume

Every year Palmer goes as the same for Halloween. Sometimes he asks if he can change his name, but we won't let him. :)~ Hope everyone is doing well.
Chewbacca, Star Wars

Love to all.
